FCS Seafair Princess

Dear Miss Filipino Community of Seattle (FCS) Seafair Princess Candidate,

On behalf of the Filipino Community of Seattle, thank you for your interest in our program and enthusiasm to represent the Filipino Community of Seattle in the Seafair Scholarship Program For Women! The Miss FCS Seafair Princess title is  your stepping stone to the Seafair Scholarship Program For Women. If selected Miss FCS Seafair Princess for 2015, you will continue to compete for the 2015-2016
Miss Seafair title during the summer.

Seafair is one of Seattle’s most time-honored traditions, and is one of the Northwest’s largest celebrated festivals. It’s about fun, family and friendly competition. A tradition for the past 66 years, the Seafair Scholarship Program For Women (SPFW) has provided young women the opportunity to live their dream of being a princess and represent their communities at all Seafair sanctioned events across Greater Seattle, including festivals and parades. However, it’s not just about all the pomp and circumstance of being part of the summer’s royalty. For the SPFW Participants, it’s also about competing for the many scholarship opportunities available through the SPFW and other Seafair supporting organizations.

This is a great opportunity to develop leadership skills, public speaking skills, and networking skills; all while competing for scholarship money for your education. Most importantly, it will be one amazing summer to remember! I am excited to have you as a candidate for this amazing opportunity, and I personally congratulate you for taking your first step to living your childhood dream!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our FCS Seafair Princess mentor, Mary Valmonte at mvalmonte@aol.com
